EMINENT DOMAIN

We are dedicated to protecting the rights of owners whose property is being taken through eminent domain and condemnation proceedings. We represent homeowners, landowners, farmers, developers, and businesses whose property is being acquired for public projects such as highways, utility corridors, pipelines, transportation systems, and other infrastructure.

We assist clients at every stage of the eminent domain process, including evaluating the legality of the proposed taking, negotiating with condemning authorities, reviewing appraisals and compensation offers, and advocating for full and fair compensation for the property interests affected. Our representation includes claims involving total and partial takings, easements, access restrictions, loss of business value, and damages to the remaining property.

When negotiations do not result in a fair resolution, we provide experienced litigation representation in condemnation and inverse condemnation proceedings. We work closely with appraisers, engineers, and other experts to ensure that the true value and impact of the taking is fully presented and protected.

We understand that eminent domain cases involve more than property alone—they affect livelihoods, businesses, and families. Our practice is committed to providing knowledgeable, responsive, and determined advocacy to help property owners protect their rights and obtain just compensation under the law.

Our appellate practice is dedicated to representing clients in civil and family court appeals with careful legal analysis, strategic advocacy, and persuasive written and oral argument. We handle appeals arising from a wide range of matters, including constitutional issues, divorce and custody disputes, equitable distribution, support issues, contract disputes, business litigation, property matters, and other complex civil controversies.

We work closely with trial counsel to evaluate potential appellate issues, preserve legal arguments, and develop an effective appellate strategy. Appeals require a distinct skill set and a thorough understanding of procedural and substantive law and we are committed to providing thoughtful advocacy focused on achieving favorable outcomes while protecting our clients’ rights and interests throughout the appellate process.
